Helen Haines – O2i Project Director
Helen has considerable expertise and many years’ experience of working in the field of Education Business Links (EBL). She has worked for Young Enterprise, Oxfordshire Education Business Partnership and is currently the manager of Oxfordshire Work Experience and Project Director of O2i Opportunities to Inspire.
As Manager of Oxfordshire Work Experience (OWE), Helen is responsible for supporting over 7000 work experience placements each year, through close collaboration with schools/colleges and employers. Recent developments include an online Employability Skills platform for work experience and an Experience Science Week with Science Oxford.
Helen has been instrumental in the development of O2i, from inclusion of EBL in the Oxfordshire City Deal, by validating of the need for O2i through independent research, and successfully acquiring funding through the Enterprise Adviser programme.
Helen is committed to see the young people and employers of Oxfordshire benefit from high quality, sustainable education business links that are integrated in the curriculum.
Susan Ledgard-Hoile - O2i Enterprise Coordinator
Susan is Enterprise Coordinator for O2i and the Enterprise Adviser programme, responsible for recruiting and supporting O2i's Enterprise Advisers, volunteers, schools and colleges and managing relationships between them all.
Before joining O2i, Susan was Young Enterprise Manager for Oxfordshire, where she worked with business volunteers to deliver programmes in schools and colleges to inspire young people to gain employability skills and the confidence to succeed through enterprise.
Susan comes from a background in education, having trained to teach English as a foreign language and then going on to set up and run a successful language school in Italy for eight years. She has also been a parent governor and is passionate about raising young people's aspirations and helping them to achieve their full potential.
Sarah Beal - O2i Enterprise Coordinator
Sarah is Enterprise Coordinator for O2i and the Enterprise Adviser programme, responsible for recruiting and supporting O2i's Enterprise Advisers, volunteers, schools and colleges and managing relationships between them all.
Before joining O2i, Sarah has had roles in workforce development and learning and development.
Sarah comes from a background in learning and development and is committed to the development of individuals through access to learning.
